Rita Saardi’s new collection “Waiting to Be Kissed” is perhaps for the unabashed lovers of frou frou and flowers.
In this set of polaroid images from the collection, I think the core essence is deftly expressed through the diaphanous quality of the pieces, the array of sheer fabrics, the emphasis on lingerie that is dying to be exposed, the exaggeraged floral adornments, the fem-fem colours and, above all, the utter and unapologetic romanticism that Saardi herself isn’t afraid on overdosing in (see her blog that covers lomo images of Montmartre, Orphelia, cotton candy, Feist and other frilly, frothy things).
