RALPH LAUREN GOES VIRTUAL

Tom Ford has been doing interviews with everyone from Martha Stewart to Cathy Horyn of The New York Times to promote his first film “A Single Man” and one of the most memorable ones was with The Daily Beast’s Tina Brown where he spoke at length about his admiration for Ralph Lauren (who similarly has expressed a desire to get into the director’s chair). He called Lauren the world’s “first Creative Director” and singled him out as someone whom he looks up to in the industry. It truly is impressive that Ralph Lauren has continued to remain at the forefront of what is happening in the fashion industry. He is certainly young at heart (I spotted the designer at the space formerly known as the Boom Boom Room atop The Standard Hotel a few weeks ago one late Wednesday night), and surrounds himself with some of the best players in the industry.
