Then & Now: The Original 90s Supermodels are Having a Major Glossy Comeback

Game Boys and midnight snacking aren’t the only reasons we’re nostalgic for the 90s. They also marked the advent of the first real supermodels, the ones who didn’t look like pre-pubescent boys and might have even been justified in not getting out of bed for less than $10,000. 

Elle ‘The Body’ Macpherson recently recreated her iconic 1994 Playboy cover for Harper’s Bazaar Australia’s ‘Fabulous at Every Age’ issue. Though there was no doubt a little Photoshop supplemented her diet and exercise regime, it’s pretty clear Elle’s still got it at 49.

And though there are few women who could pull of thigh-high stockings and nothing else quite so spectacularly, she’s not the only one who’s reclaimed her glossy throne in recent months.
