Giambattista Valli Wows Yet Again With Killer Mini Dresses and Strapless Gowns

Since making his couture debut six collections ago, Giambattista Valli has consistently shown that he can deliver looks that both dazzle in their craftsmanship and design, while being wholly wearable; this was especially true in his knockout Spring 2014 lineup. The collection started with sculpted mini dresses before capping off with a beautiful series of mostly strapless gowns. In a testament to Valli’s creativity, even with two silhouettes clearly dominating the collection, each look was distinct. Knotted, wrapped, twisted and curved stiff fabrics and silks (including ones whipped into the designer’s signature oversized bow), embroidered panels and Valli’s signature floral appliqués made for a collection that, from start to finish, would land anyone on a best dressed list.
