A Live Performance and Plenty of Celebrities at Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2014 (Runway Review)

The Scene: Carrie Underwood, Coco Rocha, Anna Kendrick, Louise Roe and Zosia Mamet were among the many celebrities who took in the show set against a live music backdrop.

The Inspiration: Easy, downtown romantic with some menswear inspiration.

The Look: Done in a palette of winter pastels with pops of dark neutrals and metallics, the designer showed a clean-lined collection featuring oversized outerwear and sweatshirts, knee-length skirts, button-down blouses, fitted trousers, lightly pleated monochrome dresses and statement tees.

The Accessories: Doctor bags, structured bags with long straps, quilted fanny packs, tasseled booties, over-the-knee boots with small chunky heels, cut-out pumps, and beanies.

The Beauty: Wine-stained lips and matching nails, squared brows and a soft, neat low ponytail.

The Takeaway: There was nothing earth-shattering, but it was a wearable collection with plenty of items to suit both the more fashion-forward downtown girl and the woman looking for closet staples.
