Fashionably Late Shows, Absorbent Inspiration — and More Fashion Tweets from #MFW

Wow, Twitter felt like the cool lunch table in eighth grade on Thursday. And by that I mean there was a whole lot of bitching and a whole lot of gossip between a clique of tricked-out kids. Traffic was apparently an enormous problem for the fashion elite and celebs, proving that when it comes to narrow European streets, even money and influence can only take you so far, so fast. Katy Perry's lateness nearly caused a riot at Moschino and Jeremy Scott's runway was still dark 45 minutes after the invite start time.

Karl gave himself iconic props at his Fendi show, marching his girls down the runway with purses loosely based on his image. And Moschino got in on the overwhelming literal pop-culture refrence trend by showing outerwear and underwear in SpongeBob SquarePants-themed prints.

Are there any trends we can actually relate to and will want to wear? Glad you asked because a bold lash and liner was on display at Gucci and Prada. And Max Mara showed the tried and true hair-tucked-into-collar look. Keep reading for more backstage pics and editorial quips.
