THE FUTURE OF ALEXA CHUNG

Model, and most recently the host of MTV’s It’s On with Alexa Chung (the show was canceled on December 17th after a short-lived stint), Alexa Chung has made quite the splash on the style scene State-side. The British import’s quirky, unique style has landed her more ink than anything she’s done career-wise, so I don’t anticipate her fading anytime soon now that her show has been canceled.

In fact, Chung – who has modeled for Elle Girl, CosmoGIRL!, and W Magazine, among many others in the past – has publicly stated that she is looking to get back into modeling.  “‘I would actually like to model again now because I think I would have a lot more input, so watch this space. I stopped modeling because it was just so stifling. It is very hard, when something is your passion, to be controlled and told how to do it and what to wear,” Chung remarked. Well, it seems she’s getting her wish.

Aside from walking walked the runway at the Vivienne Westwood Red Label Spring Summer 2009 show in London back in September of 2008 and becoming the face of DKNY Jeans over the summer, she also became the face of British high street giant New Look, modeled Wren’s Holiday 2009 collection, and now Alexa Chung is the new face of Pepe Jeans (she stars in the new ads with Tom Guinness and Boyd). Perhabs she’ll follow in Emma Watson footsteps next and appear in a future Burberry campaign?
