Paul & Joe Supply a Trendy, But Not Overdone Fall 2014 Collection (Runway Review)

The Scene: An abstract winter wonderland backdrop set the stage for winter florals and furry outerwear.

The Look: Challenging the typical fall color standbys, kinda. Instead of deep reds and blacks, Paul & Joe started out with an army green and coral look, nicely accented with cream. Silhouettes were retro-trendy but still down-to-earth, including oversized coats with both long and short sleeves, shorts with a generous cut as well as dresses with plenty of ease designed in. A kind of camouflage pattern was less weighty thanks to dueling pastels or made more feminine with a fetching deep army green/bright red-coral combo. The collar-less jackets and floaty yet structured dresses were also standouts. This season, Paul & Joe managed to celebrate the best of fall and winter clothing, without walking in a boring straight line.

The Accessories: Loose, over-the-knee boots and fuzzy, solid-colored scarves.

The Beauty: Long strands tucked into the collars of the clothing for that faux-bob effect.

The Takeaway: Fall’s ideal just-trendy-enough wardrobe, seated just left of center.
