Milan Fashion Week Fall 2015 Hits and Misses: Part 2 (Forum Buzz)

Yet another Milan Fashion Week has come to a close and forum members are still busy chattering about which collections they loved and hated. Stefano Pilati continues to fly under the radar at Agnona, but forum members are pretty much obsessed. And the mommy-focused theatrics at Dolce & Gabbana? Those failed to impress. Here’s a look at what the forums are saying about the runway shows that stood out from the crowd.

“This is easily my favorite collection so far. Lovely colours and everything looks so cozy!” [alienobserver]

“Utterly amazing!!! I love how uncomplicated all these looks are, you’re sure that the clothes won’t drown the wearer but rather highlight their beauty! I also like that it’s a bit versatile…this can easily become a Spring collection too!” [ToniOrtega]

“Hashtag perfection!” [GIVENCHYlover]

Jil Sander

“Absolutely amazing, luxurious, minimal, very very Jil Sander. For me, it’s a ‘sans-faute’ as we say in French.” [GivenchyAddict]

“Fantastic! Didn’t think he had it in him but bravo! Very clean, some nice colours and overall just very Jil Sander.” [anlabe32]

“At first I thought ‘what a bore’ and was afraid Paglialunga played it too safe after the hard time he got last season (which I liked). But after revisiting there’s a delicacy with the details and the cut, it’s a subtlety you can’t see on the runway. It’s not in your face but there’s a voice here and it’s strong and it works. I can’t wait to see these clothes on the rack. I think it’s a great collection and I hope Paglialunga sticks around to grow into his role. I think it’s going to be fantastic.” [Mutterlein]

“Outrageously and stunningly simple but rich offering… Not a single trend-chasing or try-hard trend-defining piece in sight. Perfection to me. If this type of artisanal, even couture-ish and timeless designs is what brings out the best in him – and it seems to be the case, I hope he stays with them, and not be relegated to churning out assembly-line collections for the more high-profile labels. I don’t care to see a show, and I don’t care to see top models, stars or the of-the-moment bloggers wearing these designs. Confident, stylish and intelligent women are the ones that will be attracted to such a stellar collection and they’re the ones I envision wearing all this.” [Phuel]

“This is stunning. There’s so much I want to say to express my love for this, but I do not even know how to put it to words. Just beautiful and highly covetable. I want this to continue and I like how this is being presented.” [Salvatore]

“It looks incredibly luxurious, and I love the architectural elements the accessories and coats take on. To me [Stefano] Pilati understands what sophisticated women want to be wearing like nobody else. I’m thrilled for him that he can quietly while away at Agnona and turn out the work he wants without the pressure and hullabaloo.” [HeatherAnne]
