What to Expect From Thursday’s Fenty Puma by Rihanna Pre-Release

It’s a good week for the Rihanna Navy. Today, the Fenty Puma by Rihanna Fall 2017 collection hits the runway. On Thursday, (some of) Rih’s Marie Antoinette-inspired Spring 2017 designs hit Puma.com.

While little is known of the release, Footwear News — which recently named Rihanna’s eternally sold-out creeper Shoe of the Year — reports that new Fenty-fied slides are on their way. Spring 2017’s slip-ons are (slightly) more pool-friendly than their fuzzy predecessors: this time around, the Barbadian designer swapped fur for silky bows. On the runway, the slides came in olive and pastel pink. At present, the website’s banner imagery touts the former, but if Puma’s sticking to tradition, we expect both colorways will be available and will cost around $80, as they did last season.

Harper’s Bazaar reports that Rih’s stilettoed sneaker booties, lace-up pink heels and silky bow sneaks will also make an appearance, though Puma’s site does not explicitly reference these styles. Harper’s also claims that Puma will roll out new pieces from the Fenty spring collection each month from now until June. We assume they know better than to toy with our Rih-motions. (Sorry.)
