Alexander Wang and Adidas Originals confirmed their rumored collaboration at the close of the Wang’s Spring 2017 show when #WangSquad members hit the runway in black tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, basketball shorts and track pants bearing the German sportswear giant’s iconic white stripes. Over the past six months, the duo has executed two mini-drops of the 84-piece collab — the first of which had the Wang x Adidas team selling select pieces from the sporty, much-hyped range out of the back of a delivery truck on Canal Street, among other New York City locales.
Wang x Adidas’ third and final drop of the season (and yes, the partners have signed on for a second run) features the remaining thirty-odd pieces we haven’t yet seen from the collection — French terry sweatsuits, center-seam track pants, bright orange jerseys and sleek basketball shorts we’ll be wearing in lieu of summer’s ubiquitous denim cutoffs (if you want to give off the illusion of fancy, pair your satiny bottoms with heels or sandals). Of course, the most talked-about items are the sneakers. Along with two streamlined basketball styles, Wang helped envision Adidas’ new Run Clean Boost. In the collab’s Juergen Teller-lensed campaign imagery, house favorite Lexi Boling models what GQ is calling “the coolest Boost sneaker of 2017 so far.”
Thankfully, unlike the previous releases, Wang x Adidas’ latest drop will happen at Adidas Originals and Alexander Wang stores, both brands’ e-commerce sites and more than 140 retail locations worldwide — no truck-hunting required. In addition, all items from the collection will be available. Based on what we’ve seen so far, prices should range from $80 to $180.
There you have it. Mark your calendars for April 1. Then mark them again for April 15, the date of the full Wang x Adidas restock. See the all the newly-debuted Alexander Wang x Adidas Originals pieces in the slideshow below.
