Designers were really keen on showing their stripes this season. The Cruise/Resort 2018 collections were jam-packed with the linear pattern, from subtle accents to stripe-on-stripe styling. Practically every offering featured some form of stripe, but there were also a few other trending items. Apologies to all the sheer-weary, but see-through still proved popular, including the netted variety. Athleisure demonstrated it could go the distance with nouveau tracksuits, windbreakers and generally sporty pieces continuing their winning streak. There was even a preppy renaissance with brands tying shirts and sweaters around models’ bodies, sometimes in truly innovative fashion (more on that later). Check out the 101 top looks from the Resort 2018 season in the slideshow above.
