BASSO & BROOKE LONDON F/W 2010

Known for pioneering eye-popping digital prints, Bruno Basso and Christopher Brooke followed a straighter path this season, and it led them to success. Those unfamiliar with the label might be surprised to hear that this is a much more subdued collection for the team, but this season’s remarkable prints were on classical shapes like parkas, dresses, and slim cut trousers.

Fall/Winter’s most ubiquitous trend thus far, fur, also made an appearance adorning collars and coats of some of the more subtle pieces. Innovators in every sense of the word, the team used a new treatment on the fabric that gave the silk a high-gloss, liquid sheen that only enhanced the depths of the intricate prints.

Warm autumnal shades made the collection aesthetically pleasing even for those opposed to loud, clashing prints.
