News & Runway

Continuing on with the trends of dark colors and lots of fur on runways where you wouldn’t necessarily expect it, Giorgio Armani showed a sleek, wearable collection heavy on snug fitting jackets and blazers for the Fall/Winter 2010 Emporio Armani collection.

Going off of the Italian designer’s most recent couture show which had a lunar inspiration, one memorable look had a large star motif on it – a kitschy touch that was unexpected from the prim and proper designer, even if this is the brand’s contemporary collection.

Fur and surprising twists aside, all of Armani’s brands shine brightest when it comes to daywear (and formal attire for his higher price-point labels), and this season the designer didn’t disappoint with slinky loosely fitted pants crafted with pronounced pleats, pleated silk tops, cropped leather jackets with oversized collars, and a slew of versatile day to night skirts.
