INSALATA KARL LAGERFELD

In the last few years, the name ‘Karl Lagerfeld’ has, somewhat surprisingly, been associated with several food and drink related items for the bon vivant.  From the perch skin guitar case that he designed back in 2007, which contained six bottles of rare Dom Perignon Rose vintage champagne and three glasses, and sold for a rather gasp-inducing $140,000 at Harrods…to the limited edition Bûche de Noël he created for Parisian pastry emporium Lenôtre the same year; a calorie-laden treat featuring a baked meringue base, powdered spice bread, almonds, sour oranges, and three types of chocolate from such far flung locations as Sao Tomé, the Dominican Republic and Tanzania.
