Rihanna Is (Finally) Launching Her Own Luxury Fashion Brand

There really is nothing Rihanna can’t do. Her songs break records, while her partnership with Puma, Fenty Beauty and her lingerie line Savage x Fenty rake in the sales and the accolades for their inclusivity. Now Rihanna has entered into a deal with mega fashion conglomerate LVMH to create a new luxury line based in Paris debuting for Spring 2019.

The partnership is a big deal in itself, but the fact that Rihanna is the first woman to create an original brand under the LVMH umbrella is just as significant. “Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us. Mr. Arnault has given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits. I couldn’t imagine a better partner both creatively and business-wise, and I’m ready for the world to see what we have built together,” the singer/designer/beauty mogul/actress declared in a statement posted to LVMH’s site.

We’re expecting big things from the new brand and so is LVMH. “Everybody knows Rihanna as a wonderful singer, but through our partnership at Fenty Beauty, I discovered a true entrepreneur, a real CEO and a terrific leader. She naturally finds her full place within LVMH,” said Bernard Arnault, chairman and CEO of LVMH.
