Only a Couple of Hits and Many Misses at Milan Fashion Week Fall 2021

Milan Fashion Week Fall 2021 has come to an end. Some brands held runway shows sans audiences. While others presented their collections digitally. Regardless, there were plenty of buzzworthy looks from the designers showing in Italy’s fashion headquarters.

The week started off with Kim Jones making his ready-to-wear debut at Fendi. Fausto Puglisi also presented his first collection for Roberto Cavalli. At Max Mara, Ian Griffiths took inspiration from Queen Elizabeth II offering quilted gilets, tartan skirts and headscarves. Jeremy Scott created two digital showcases for Moschino featuring numerous models, including Amber Valletta and Shalom Harlow.

We were soon digesting the second Prada offering from Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada, which was basically a reinterpretation of the fashion house’s signatures. Pierpaolo Piccioli gave us a mostly black Valentino collection, while Dolce & Gabbana gave us pops of color.
