Luxe: Get the Celebrity Look

Sometimes it’s the little touches that take your outfit from average to enviable. Celebrities have stylists to calculate all the complicated nuances of putting together a look, but we aren’t all so fortunate. Luckily, tFS has put together some celeb-inspired styling tips and tricks to help you put together a look that’s got that extra oomph! This week, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Kate Moss, and Poppy Delevigne show us how to get the luxe look.

Tip #1: Mix and match bold, luxe prints like Hanne Gaby Odiele

Hanne Gaby Odiele is known for her striking look on the runway, but her personal style on the concrete catwalk turns as many heads. Outside the Rochas show, the Belgian model kicked back in head-to-toe Dries Van Noten. Just because you’re not a successful model with the designer threads hookup doesn’t mean you can’t achieve Odiele’s luxe look for fall. Pair a boldly patterned oversized coat with a patterned pant that contains one of the same colors as the coat and a solid blouse—and a gold pump and a French twist and voila!

1. Motel Patterned Hareem Trouser – $30;  2. Modekungen Elle Blouse – $74;    3. Armani Exchange Bold Pattern Cape – $178;   4. Wifky Gold Metallic Pumps – $92

Tip #2: Pair a lamé top with leggings for Kate Moss’ casual luxe look

At the launch of her new jewelry line Kate Moss for FRED, the supermodel-turned-designer sparkled as brightly as her designs in a vintage Chanel top, Alaïa leggings, Christian Louboutin flats and a Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton clutch. To get her toned-down yet sumptuous look, pair a lamé top (hint—look for vintage) with basic black leggings and pointed toe pumps. Keep accessories to a minimum to let the metallic top take center stage.

1. Pringle of Scotland Lamé Perforated-Crepe Top – $155;  2. Gap Stretch Knit Leggings – $19.95;  3. Report Gonzalez Flat – $74.95

Tip #3: Try a gold palazzo pant like Poppy Delevigne

Poppy Delevigne was front row at practically every show during fashion month, so it goes without saying that she knows her trends. In London she rocked this season’s wide-leg trousers trend in a pair of subtly-patterned silky Jonathon Saunders pants and sheer black top. She toughened up the look with a fringed Meli Melo beg and kept a low profile in Dior sunglasses.

1. Halogen Oversized Square Sunglasses – $58;  2. Goddess of Babylon Cerrado Bag – $165;  3. AX Palazzo Trouser $47;  4. Rugy Ralph Lauren Georgina Lace Tee – $98
