While most of the designers played with proportions, others opted for subtle fabric contrasts or contrasting prints to draw attention to the breast area.

Others went in for the kill, and placed distinct patches of fabric – Miuccia Prada did it playfully for her Miu Miu collection, and Joseph Altuzarra did it conservatively for his Altuzarra Spring 2011 line – around the models’ breasts.

It’s hard to imagine that these looks will ultimately end up stocked on retail floors. Then again, if you’re looking to make your lingerie mark, there’s nothing quite like flaunting your chest to get people’s attention; it’s been nearly two years, and who can forget M.I.A performing at the Grammy’s in her triple-patched House of Holland dress?
