Forum Street Style: Slouchy Sweaters, Pretty Prints, and More

The Fashion Spot forum’s “What are You Wearing Today” thread has historically been the go-to place for forum members from all over the world to put their personal style on display. Read on for a selection of outfits from the past week.

VivaciousCohen, AiryFairy, and voodoo_mary

VivaciousCohen’s slouchy Sparkle and Fade purple sweater was the focal point of her outfit on a sunny day last weekend. “I love the sweater because it reminds me of Isabel Marant S/S 2011,” she wrote. The bulk of the sweater was off-set by her black So Low leggings and Guess boots.

AiryFairy went for something simple yet bold, pairing a black top from Express and Jeffrey Campbell lace-up booties with her celestial print Black Milk leggings.

Voodo_mary always has the perfect pretty dress on hand for every occasion, and this black, red and white printed DKNY number is no exception.

Liina, greengrassia, and Zarina

Over in Norway, Liina made her loose-fitting camel-colored Second Female sweater the focal point of her outfit, layering it over black tights and a black BikBok jumpsuit. She topped off her look with a floppy black hat from H&M, grounded herself with a pair of platform wedge booties from nelly.com, and slung her classic Chanel bag over her arm to complete the ensemble.

Greengrassia kept her outfit to monochromatic black and brown tones, adding a more playful element of surprise with her leopard print coat from Zara kids. “Yes, I’m small,” she wrote, rolling her eyes as she admitted that her dress was from the kids section as well, this time at H&M. She finished the look off with boots from John Bakery, a vintage bag and Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses.

Ever the lady, Zarina didn’t leave home without her pearls, but the rest of her outfit gave off a sexier vibe. This primarily black ensemble consisted of a Diane von Furstenburg wrap shirt, an H&M mini skirt, Stuart Weitzman high-heeled boots and a quilted Marc Jacobs Stam bag.

trueblue831, justlikesushi, and gogosushi

Trueblue831 worked a variety of cream tones into her look, breaking it up with sheer black tights and adding a pop of red with her Cole Haan bag. Her pretty, pleated Topshop skirt perfectly picked up the darker tone of beige in her Contributor by Rachel Comey oxfords.

Justlikesushi also sported a monochromatic look this week. She kept things light and airy with high street fashions from Topshop (her open-shoulder sweater), Zara (her ecru pants, black heels, and tan trench), and H&M (her leopard-print sunglasses and canvas bag).

Gogosushi, in contrast, stuck to dark, muted tones. Layering a heather green Whistles sweater over a silky collared white tee from American Apparel, gogosushi jumped on board the contrasting collar trend, and her Oh My Frock rosette skirt added some interesting texture to the look. She balanced the outfit down low with Deena & Ozzy wedge booties from Urban Outfitters and added some prep school charm with a Highland Tweeds wool scarf.>
