What We Bought: Earth Toned Buys From Prada, Asos, and Jil Sander (Forum Shopaholics)

Forum shopaholics have been giving their wallets a workout, picking up items in nudes, blushes, earth tones, and nature-inspired prints. Here are some highlights from last week’s shopping splurges.

BibiRose stuck to light, romantic hues, buying this lovely blush-toned pussybow blouse and this short, micro-pleated, cream-colored dress with sheer elbow-length slightly puffed sleeves. Both items are from asos.com.

Taking a cue from nature, Ives927 “finally jumped the gun,” and purchased this Jil Sander short-sleeved button-up shirt. His indulgence has me leaning toward a splurge of my own, as I find myself coveting some lovely flower-printed Jil Sander flats that cost a lot more than I should be spending. I’ve managed to keep them out of my online shopping cart… so far.

Marmoset went on a tank top buying binge that included this fruity Stella McCartney-inspired top from asos.com. This top is a nice alternative that won’t set you back as much as the real thing. I like how the fruit print almost seems to form a lush bib necklace.

Nude patent shoes are insanely popular at the moment, and with reason – they go with just about everything. Zarina is always well shod, and this week she added the perfect pair of Prada patent peeptoe pumps to her enviable shoe collection. Say that ten times fast… I dare you.

Jinadaze takes the trend in a different direction with the nude patent brogues she received as a gift from her boyfriend. “They were on my wish list for a couple of months,” she admitted. The brogues done in a nude patent translate to a surprisingly good way to successfully combine two shoe trends at once.

Caroulemapoule picked up some Prada of her own this week. “I bought my Prada bag in grey also, oops, it arrived today,” she posted, showing the bag new addition with the brown version she had purchased a week or so before. If caroulemapoule isn’t a true shopaholic, I don’t know who is…

While many of us are trying to shed our layers for spring, Belowen is gearing up for fall and winter across the globe in Australia. A leopard print scarf in red seems like it will be a fun addition to her wardrobe.

POCKETKITTEN bought this Mango maxi dress in earthy russet tones for a wedding this summer. Initially unsure of how to style it, fellow Fashion Spot forum members advised her to keep it simple and pair the dress with some nude pumps or sandals. Like I said, nude shoes look good with almost everything, don’t they?
