For all you ladies who thought the Pacific divide meant you couldn’t slip your feet into a pair of Poppy Delevingne’s collaboration with shoe gods Aquazzura, well, you thought wrong. Your prayers have been answered thanks to e-tailer Net-a-Porter, which is stocking the capsule collection and shipping internationally from today until the range sells out.
The Poppy Delevingne x Aquazzura capsule collection consists of seven on-trend styles, including a pair of suede platforms and boho flats available exclusively from the luxury online store.
Brown-suede, braided tassels and astrological touches are strong within the range, evoking memories of Poppy’s decadent and enviable Moroccan wedding celebrations with husband James Cook last year.
In fact, it was Poppy and James’ wedding theme that Aquazzura’s co-founder and creative director, Edgardo Osorio, was really keen on showcasing in the collaboration with the model-turned-designer. “We wanted to capture the tone of her wedding in Morocco—mystical and romantic, but interpreted in a way that felt very charming and English,” he explained in a news release.
Poppy also credits international influences for the range’s strength, citing her “globetrotting nature and travels” and a pair of earrings she picked up in St. Tropez as prime sources of inspiration. The sun, moon and stars which featured on the earrings are used as motifs throughout the collection, adding that mystical element that Edgardo wanted.
