If there’s one thing that this latest batch of street style looks from London Fashion Week Fall 2020 makes clear, it’s that showgoers are not messing around with their outfits. Every trend is represented, from voluminous dresses a la Molly Goddard to statement outerwear in fun and unexpected colors and, of course, menswear vibes.
We’re also gleaning some new layering tricks. Looking to dress up a utilitarian jumpsuit? Slip a shiny vest on top. Can’t wait till spring to rock flower patterns? Pair a floral dress with a floral jacket featuring different bouquets. Can’t decide which animal print to go with? Go with both by sporting an animal print trench over an animal print dress. Same problem with your pants? Just layer them so each waistline pops out.
Some of our favorite street style looks involve workwear separates with a twist. We’re talking leather suits, structured skirt suits and the ever-classic blazer and turtleneck combo. Of course, the street stylists working these looks added their own little touches that make them pretty office inappropriate. (We highly doubt HR would approve of wearing a cropped button-down under said suits.)
When it comes to accessories, these street style stars are really bringing their A game. So far we’ve spotted berets, shield sunglasses that almost look like ski goggles, mini and micro bags, lug-sole boots and an umbrella or two. It is London, after all.
