Corset Tops Are Set to Be the Silhouette of Summer

We could all use a little structure in our lives right now. Enter corset tops. The binding garments proved popular on the Spring 2020 runways and they’re surprisingly easy to pull off.

Dion Lee was the most corset-minded sending several interpretations down the catwalk. But he wasn’t the only one. They also showed up over at Chloe, Burberry, Vera Wang, Mugler and more. Sometimes they were shown solo, while other times modesty prevailed and they were layered over other pieces of clothing.

If you’re worried about showing too much skin IRL, try wearing yours over a tee or tank top. Prefer showing off those peekaboo panels or cropped hems? Don’t be shy about rocking them on their own. Either way, the best way to style them is with jeans along with barely-there sandals. (Longer shorts and skirts are also permitted.)

Check out the slideshow below to see the trendiest corset tops to add to your closet. You can wear them around the house on days you feel like dressing up. Then flaunt them around town as soon as you’re able to head outside.
