The It Color of Fall Comes in a Surprising Amount of Shades

It seems like every season there’s a new shade to stock up on. Remember millennial pink, sky blue and pistachio green? Plus, Pantone drops a hue on us each and every year. (Classic Blue didn’t really catch on in 2020, though.) This fall, it’s all about gray. Unlike other trendy colors, there are lots of versions to choose from.

The great thing about gray is that there are numerous options out there. From dove to slate to stone to heather and even french, the variety is pretty impressive. Another perk? Since all forms are considered neutrals, it’s a cinch to work into your existing wardrobe. Not to mention easy to layer.

Blame the comeback on the comfy sweats we’ve been working from home in or the fact that what we formerly considered workwear (skirt suits, belted blazers, etc.) proved popular on the Fall 2020 runways. Regardless, gray is here to stay. Well, at least through winter.
