RAG & BONE S/S 2010

David Neville and Marcus Wainwright went back to their roots this season by showing a collection that is quintessentially Rag & Bone. Despite the recent expansion of their brand, the two designers took the opportunity to show the wearable military-inspired separates they are known for. Most designers have been showing very light and airy pieces, but perhaps the designers kept the actual weather patterns in mind and showed layers and darker colors more suitable to the cooler weather.

A mix of punk, mod, and a modern-day hipster flare were all the rage at the Spring/Summer 2009 Rag & Bone show. While I thought the collection did have some successful pieces, overall the collection fell a little flat for me. The skinny jeans, suspenders, wrap-around belts, and narrow ties have been popular for a few seasons now and you could take a trip to Manhattan's Lower East Side any day and find dozens upon dozens of men and women decked-out in similar looks to those presented in this collection.
