“Most of the songs I listen to when I train in the a.m. are either Country or Latin. When I do high-intensity training or CrossFit, I opt for today’s hits or Blink-182. Music is very important when it comes to heart rate and rhythm. I use high beat techno for all my sprinting drills and very relaxing tempo for my cool downs, so my body and brain knows it’s time to relax and bring my heart rate down. I do, however, feel sometimes it’s important to not listen to anything, but be in tune with yourself.”
