“I usually choose to play songs based on three things: 1) A strong beat — something that will push my riders farther than they initially think they can go. 2) Song lyrics — if the message of a song is relatable, I will absolutely play it! When people can get in touch with their feelings, it usually makes them work harder. 3) A throwback — something that riders will automatically recognize and be able to loosen up and sing along to while they sweat. For me, it tends to be in the hip-hop genre.”
