I won’t lie to you. A good smoothie is one of the few keys to my heart. If I had it my way, I’d drink a smoothie every morning, but washing berries when you’re half-asleep and 15 minutes late for wherever you’re supposed to be can be a little inconvenient. As soon as I discovered Oasis Nutrisource juices and frozen berry mélange (apparently I’m never in the frozen goods section), the morning smoothie #goals became much, much more realistic.
So when Oasis Nutrisource asked me to get creative and have some fun with their tasty cranberry and pomegranate 40 calorie and 100% juice cocktails, I figured I’d make myself (and everyone else in my household) a bomb smoothie that could’ve cost me $8.00 a cup and a 7:32 minute wait in line, but didn’t. You’re welcome, family.
- 1 1/2 cups frozen or fresh berries
- 3/4 cups Oasis Nutrisource 40 calories cranberry juice cocktail (or any of the Oasis Nutrisource fruit cocktails, really)
- 1 tablespoon of honey (or to your tasting)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (I use honey-flavoured Greek yogurt)
- 1/2 of a banana
WHAT TO DO NEXT?
Mash everything into a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour your very tasty smoothie into cups and share with your friends (because sharing is caring). Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
So, if you’re ever a little short on time in the morning and need to skip breakfast, or just want a smoothie (which I always do), I dare say you should give one of these smoothies a go. Who needs to eat fruit anyway when you can drink it?
