Banging Summer Lips

Lip gloss should be a no-brainer – pick a color, swish, and you’re done.

Unfortunately, from the gunky, to the sticky, to the downright awful-smelling, finding the perfect lip gloss is not so easy – especially when brands are trying to skimp on ingredients.

Happily, some brands do manage to get it right. Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, focused on soft lips for the Chanel Fall 2010 make-up collection, which just hit counters.

The new Levres Scintillantes Glossimer shades are gorgeous, especially the soft pink, Rose Dilemma.

Aside from an easy-on-the-lips formula, the chic packaging is key. Throw in some extra features, like ModelCo did with built-in LED lights, and consider it golden.

Whether you’re into the pale and peachy a la Chanel Fall 2010, or something bold and saturated like Fresh Sugar Cherry, here’s a round up of some of the best glosses lining the beauty aisles.
