Get Blake Lively’s Fresh Summer Look

Where: The New York Premiere of Savages

Why we like it: With the number of appearances she’s made this week, it’s no surprise that Blake Lively is our beauty girl of the week. This look works so well on the red carpet but it would also be the perfect go-to summer makeup (though I would strongly suggest laying off the body glitter). What better for the first week of July?

How to get it at home: It’s clear that Blake’s skin’s natural texture is shining though. To get this natural look, apply a tinted moisturizer rather than a traditional foundation. NARS’ Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 $42 will even the skin tone and provide a bit of coverage without a mask of pigment. This is a great product for the summer because it adds a bit of SPF (on top of your normal sunscreen, remember) but also is low maintenance and perfect for the warm summer months. If you need more color, apply a powder bronzer but if not, you can use a liquid bronzer or product, such as Benefit’s Sun Beam, $26, to get that golden glow.

Blake’s eye makeup is definitely high impact but very simple to do. Start by applying a base of gold eyeliner, such as YSL’s Long-Lasting Waterproof Eye Pencil in 8 Luminescent Gold, $28, across the upper and lower lash line. Go over that line with a bronze glitter liner, such as Urban Decay’s Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in Baked, $18. To get the very full looking lashes that Blake is sporting here, line your tightline with a gel liner and just fill in the gaps between the lashes. Then coat your lashes in a volumizing mascara, such as YSL’s Voluminous Mascara for a False Lash Effect $30.

Finish off your look with a bright pink lip gloss, such as Bare Escentuals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Flamingo, $18. While Blake’s body glitter is slightly excessive, you can get a subtle shimmer with a product such as Stila’s All Over Shimmer Liquid in Kitten Shimmer, $20.
