Forget Trends: You Can Wear These Hot-Off-the-Runway Updos All Year Long (Here’s How)

Tadashi Shoji

I’m a big fan of long hair rolled up to the nape of the neck and Rodney Cutler took the style to another level with volume to create “effortlessly magical runway hair.” He blow-dried the hair using Redken Spray Starch 15 Heat Styling Spray. Then hair was set with a 1.5″ barrel curling iron, using Redken Power Grip 03 Texturizing Hair Powder for volume and grittiness. Instead of backcombing, create a braid at the crown of the head and sweep hair over it, pinning in place to hide the braid. Roll the length of the hair up, keeping ends on the inside, and pin the roll at the nape of the neck.
