The wait is over (well at least for me, personally); the magazine of the season has arrived: Porter, which is powered by fashion website Net-a-Porter. Gisele Bundchen fronts its first Spring 2014 issue, photographed by Dutch duo Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadain and styled by Alex White. Gisele wears a red sweater by Chanel and an emerald ring from Inez & Vinoodh's jewelry range.
The issue consists of 282 pages and talks about fashion, beauty and travel. Articles include interviews with actress Uma Thurman, designers Donatella Versace, Miuccia Prada and many other influential women. Fashion stories include spreads from Cuneyt Akeroglu with model Bianca Balti, Camilla Akrans with model Julia Frauche, Ezra Peronio with model Nadja Bender and a very 80's luxe jewelry story by Katja Rahlwes with model Karmen Pedaru.
Members of tFS have posted positive and enthusiastic comments regarding the effortlessly beautiful cover.
"Beautiful! Love everything about this cover! Perfect!" said jeffandtheworld
Kanna wrote, "I really love that cover. Gisele looks more beautiful than ever, on it."
Gossiping questioned Robbin Derrick's design of the magazine commenting, "That cover is terrible..the text just ruins it. Bad design, love the editorial though," and went on to further say, "I looked inside today..wow the design is so boring. Looks just like every other magazine."
I managed to grab a copy of Porter on Friday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at how immaculate the magazine looked on the newsstands. The cover is printed on glossy card to enhance the shot of Gisele's beauty — it's simply immaculate in person.
