Kaia Gerber, Jessica Fennix and More Are Cover Girls in Ports 1961’s Spring 2020 Campaign

You must be living under a very large rock if you don’t already know that Karl Templer and Fabien Baron are the new forces behind Ports 1961. The creative twosome debuted their first collection for the brand during London Fashion Week Spring 2020 (much to the delight of our forum members). The pair enlisted Steven Meisel to shoot the advertising campaign for the collection capturing an array of models, including Kaia Gerber, Jessica Fennix, Mona Tougaard, Abby Champion and Lys Lorente, for the retro magazine cover-inspired images.

Needless to say, the campaign was an instant hit on our forums. “Something different from the brand, I like it. Especially that they look like vintage covers,” said kokobombon.

“This is fabulous, love the magazine cover concept and the retro vibes,” echoed vogue28.

“This is what I wanted for Versace! It’s fun, classy and I love it!” praised Lola701.

“Beautiful portraits! Jessica is radiant! I love the emotion. Meisel really makes Kaia come alive,” noted GivenchyHomme.

Also sharing the same level of enthusiasm toward the campaign was McKinney: “Don’t know much about this brand, but I can certainly get behind their campaign…way better than the waste of print produced by some bigger brands.”

“Didn’t Gucci and [Glen] Luchford just do these fake cover campaigns with the brand’s logo half a year ago?” asked dodencebt.

“Who cares who did it first! We’re in the sustainable era now, it’s all about recycling anyway. I just can’t stop looking at them. This is by far my favorite campaign of the season! Will be definitely hard to beat,” aracic fired back.
