Gigi Hadid Makes a Harper’s Bazaar Cover Comeback for August 2021

Samira Nasr’s been at Harper’s Bazaar for eight months. In that time, Nasr’s vision has proved to be somewhat hit or miss, however. Covers starring Megan Thee Stallion, Jane Fonda and Megan Rapinoe weren’t exactly praised. But the mag struck gold following a series of covetable model covers for May 2021. Now another model comes our way with the unveiling of Bazaar‘s August 2021 installment. Gigi Hadid stages a comeback 15 months after her last Bazaar appearance decked out in a Gucci blazer and shirt picked by Ludivine Poiblanc for the cover captured by Collier Schorr.

“This is beyond mundane and Gigi’s facial expression is bad,” said WAVES the moment the cover dropped.

“The styling makes no sense, very amateurish and uninspiring. It bothers me much more than the dull aesthetic from Collier Schorr,” an underwhelmed GivenchyAddict chimed in.

“Why is Collier Schorr still working?” asked mikel.

“Another absolute miss of a Harper’s Bazaar cover under Samira Nasr. These dull, dark and downright depressing covers just keep piling up and I cannot fathom as to why Nasr insists on going down this path,” voiced vogue28.

“It’s frustrating that Samira chose to be mediocre like the rest of American magazines when her magazine can be great,” added THD96.

“Terrible, boring and depressing…” SLFC pointed out.

Benn98 wasn’t buying it, either. “It’s the blandness of it all. Bland colors, bland proportions, bland makeup.”

“The cover feels like a college project recreating the October 2018 Vanity Fair cover… It’s a waste of pixels, paper and everyone’s time,” stated tigerrouge.
