Adele Returns to the Cover of Vogue for November 2021

Speculation has been rife on our forums for months that Adele would be returning to the cover of Vogue. Our suspicions are confirmed with the unveiling of the American fashion bible’s November 2021 offering. Five years after her last cover appearance, Adele is back and better than ever shot atop the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles by photographer Alasdair McLellan. The singer wears a showstopping green Valentino Fall 2021 Haute Couture creation picked by Tonne Goodman for the cover image.

Adele’s long-awaited comeback divided our forums. “Just bad, the composition of the cover doesn’t make sense to me, the text is weirdly arranged. Her expression is so not inviting and looks like the sun is bothering her,” voiced YohjiAddict.

“Looks like Harper’s Bazaar,” HodanChloe pointed out.

“She looks gorgeous, but this is so boring. It feels like an InStyle editorial,” added gunsnroses.

“An eyesore of a cover, especially following the beauty and statement of Lorde’s cover just last month. The blue Vogue masthead clashes terribly with the green Valentino and the layout leaves a lot to be desired — genuinely cannot point out a positive element,” ranted vogue28.

“She looks like she’s wearing a green garbage bag. Awful cover,” agreed mepps.

MON, however, couldn’t disagree more. “This is stunning and elegant.”

“I like the blue masthead with the green dress. Feels fresh,” admired Lucien112.

“Another striking cover and main editorial this year. I love this!” exclaimed crmsnsnwflks.

“This is probably my favorite U.S. Vogue cover in a while,” confessed 90sbea.
