One of the most popular memes to have emerged out this holiday season: “Miserable Men” is an Instagram account (and now also a trending topic) documenting the pitiful population of men tasked with accompanying their (presumably female?) partners on holiday shopping expeditions.
Poor guys, having to sit in one of America’s many temperature-controlled retailers, with nothing to distract them but their unlimited data plan-enabled smart phones while their wives and girlfriends selfishly select presents for the couple’s mutual friends and family. Such sacrifice. [via Racked]
