This past Wednesday, July 23rd, Project Runway season 4 winner Christian Siriano unveiled, as part of his Project Runway prize package, a nine-piece collection designed exclusively for the online retailer Bluefly.
The collection consists of jackets, tees, dresses, skirts, and pants and as would be expected from Siriano, the pieces are ultra fitted, sleek, mostly black and gold in hue, and come complete with the designer’s signature pleats and ruffles (albeit in moderation).
I am loving the long zipper on the ultra-skinny “Motorcross” pants ($280), as well as the delicate ruffle shoulder detailing. Sirano has been quoted as saying that he gave all of his pieces hilarious names because “it’s super-fun.”
Of those the “Posh” puff sleeve blouse ($590), pictured above (and undoubtedly inspired by season 4 guest finale Project Runway judge Victoria Beckham), fittingly stands-out as the most avant-garde piece in the collection.
