BOHEMIAN CHIC GOING STRONG

Nico and Anita Pallenberg were the initial influences

Then Kate Moss and Sienna Miller helped bring it back to life.

Boho Chic – it’s a trend that blends from summer to fall effortlessly when paired with the right accessories and of course, the right shaggy haircut.

Gucci made it over the top fabulous for Fall 2008.

A sexy dark eye, messy hair, loose printed dress pulled together with black tights, a fur coat and heavily embellished boots was Gucci’s take on the trend displayed on the fall runways.

D&G extended their notorious knee length hemlines to floor length printed chiffon dresses combining layers and layers of fabric while maintaining their signature sexiness.

Plaid prints and sheer layers in dark neutrals were prominent and refreshing.

However the most eccentric pieces may not even be in the clothes themselves but in the bold, heavy accessories that update this look and make it even stronger.

John Paul Gaultier went wild with what one can only guess were once cowboy boots.

Dries van Noten piled on metal bangles to create a heavy tribal necklace.

And Burberry developed a goldstone drawstring tote to pull the look of hard and soft elements together.

Whether you are a fan or foe of the look, bohemian chic is determined to stay through the holidays, so make sure not to file away those sundresses in storage…
