TREND: COLOR EXPLOSION

Although it may not feel like summer is coming to a close, fall is just around the corner and along with the change in leaves comes some spectacular new trends with the shift of seasons. Just make sure not to file away those brightly colored accessories you collected in May.

Designers showed vibrant corals, magenta pinks, apple greens and stunning periwinkle blues in their fall/winter collections. Although, these shades may not be appropriate for an entire look, a pop of color will brighten up a somber trench without looking out of season.

Dior’s Valley of the Doll collection displayed 60’s inspired pumps in a retro suede muted magenta and a vibrant tangerine in a chic satchel.

The design was classic and modern and can still be paired with a day look without being overly eccentric.

Mui Mui  presented sculptured heels in lemon and black which resembled the shape of a structured flower. They would look stunning paired with a simple black wool dress and black opaque tights.

Matthew Williamson accessorized his country girl clothes with bight necklaces like the one showed in magenta.

Missoni went wild with color showing yellow “ladies who lunch” gloves, turquoise patent vintage inspired bags and soft periwinkle sunglasses.

Hair and makeup were kept simple to balance the look.

Remember to have fun with color this season and use accessories to brighten up your fall wardrobe.

Just keep the rest of your look simple so you don’t end up looking like Rainbow Bright.
