Grab Your Boards and Skate Into Selfridges

Bringing fashion and technology together through skateboarding, Selfridges has teamed up with brand HTC to bring an 18,500-square-foot HTC One Skatepark to the public to be used by anyone with a board — and if you don’t have one, you can buy one of those in the store, of course.

As well as creating this exciting sports space, the department store has transformed the boardroom into somewhere you can really take on a new challenge with the opening of its skateboarding concept store where you can pick up a limited-edition board designed by the likes of Giuseppe Zanotti, Peter Pilotto, Jil Sander and Kenzo for just £75. Or if you’re feeling really flashy, you can step into Maison Martin Margiela’s creative design affixed with cloven hoof leather ankle boots priced at £2,000. These are all available online so even if you can’t get down to the skate park, you can still join in. If you are around but a little rusty on your feet you can book a free hour lesson. Although the skateboards look more appealing just to look at if you ask me.

The space will be open from March 27 until April 19 only for skateboarders. Lessons are available with all information available here
