Edward Enninful Features Nine Diverse Cover Girls on UK Vogue’s May Issue

Edward Enninful continues to champion diversity at UK Vogue. His debut issue in December featured cover girl Adwoa Abaoh and last month’s cover featured actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw. His latest effort for the May 2018 issue features nine trailblazing cover girls: Vittoria Ceretti, Halima Aden, Adut Akech, Faretta, Paloma Elsesser, Radhika Nair, Yoon Young Bae, Fran Summers and Selena Forrest, photographed by Craig McDean.

Our forum members were quick to weigh in with their opinions. “This diversity thing feel so forced. I don’t why they feel the need to please everyone at one time. This trend of putting your token girls all in the cover, all at one time is desperate,” pointed out Lola701.

“I feel the foldout was totally unnecessary here. Other than that, this looks very political, like Time magazine. Why so serious?” quizzed Royal-Galliano.

“Sometimes I wonder why it is never enough for people. I mean, we demand diversity, but once UK Vogue dropped this, it’s called forced diversity. At least they are making progress and let’s just celebrate it,” forum member gianna defended.

Several members were big fans of the cover. “Finally he delivered! I love the color scheme and styling, Adut is stealing the spotlight for me,” cheered kokobombon.

“Adut looks so good! No wonder why she is in the center, she is totally capturing one’s eyes. Lovely casting. I think they all look good. I’m very happy with this cover,” apple approved.

“This is what I’ve been craving from UK Vogue! I’m here for Vittoria, Faretta, Adut and Fran but ALL the women look absolutely amazing!” said Mckinney.

Miss Dalloway expressed the same sentiments: “The BEST cover yet from Edward. I have so much time for this, how glorious!”
