Vogue France February 2022 : Mika Schneider, Lola Nicon & Malika Louback by Charlotte Wales

Mika Schneider, Lola Nicon and Malika Louback Deserve Better Than Vogue France’s February 2022 Cover

continues to find her footing at Vogue France. After changing the 100-year-old magazine’s name from Vogue Paris to Vogue France, Trochu rolled out a bold Aya Nakamura cover for her first issue. Then closed out 2021 with legendary French actress Isabelle Huppert. For February 2022, the publication relies on Mika Schneider, Lola Nicon and Malika Louback to deliver the goods each dressed by stylist Emilie Kareh in pieces from Chanel’s Spring 2022 collection for the image captured by photographer Charlotte Wales.

But it wasn’t enough to satisfy our forum members. “How the mighty have fallen,” declared aracic the moment the cover dropped.

“I thought it was a joke… I did not expect Vogue France to be this bad. It looks so, so cheap,” GivenchyAddict pointed out.

“This is just terrible. Vogue France is failing to make an impact. It is a shadow of its former glory,” commented MON.

“Seriously, what a disaster. A total disgrace,” echoed GivenchyHomme.

“A truly hideous cover and as much as I adore Malika, Lola’s the only model I’m able to stomach in that cover shot. The blatant use of Photoshop is an embarrassment, their expressions do not match and Mika might as well be one of those digital/virtual models here,” voiced vogue28.

YohjiAddict was also far from impressed: “Hideous! All three of those models deserve sooo much better.”

“Looks very haphazardly photographed with some kind of vague intention of evoking a lighthearted atmosphere, but in the end it just looks cheap, cringey and amateurish,” proclaimed Frederic01.
