Grace Elizabeth Charms the Lens of Ethan James Green in Michael Kors’ Fall 2023 Handbag Campaign

For years, Michael Kors has had just two photographers on speed dial to lens his various advertising campaigns. Season after season, Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin and Lachlan Bailey have been firm favorites of the American designer – until now. In a bold attempt to switch things up, the unveiling of the brand’s Empire Signature Logo handbag collection for Fall 2023 sees Ethan James Green commissioned to capture the accompanying campaign. The change also sees American beauty Grace Elizabeth become the face of Michael Kors’ new monogram print, which has been splashed across a handful of Kors staples – including the Mila, Jet Set, Parker and Voyager handbag styles. Throughout the fresh, vibrant and joyous campaign series which feels like a breath of fresh air, Grace dazzles, delights and totally charms EJG’s lens, looking natural, effortless and fresh-faced and here at theFashionSpot, we’re giving it 10s across the board.

Members of our forums immediately sang the campaign’s praises loud and clear. “Grace looks soooo stunning,” raved Ihhbl.

“She looks fabulous!” echoed thiago.

“Sure, companies can hire someone for their family connections, but they’ll never be able to recreate the magic that happens between the camera and someone who was born to model,” commended tigerrouge, touching upon the terrific casting of a model like Grace Elizabeth.

Also very much a fan was TaylorBinque: “I love this. The vibes are contagious. It’s pretty good for mid market handbag campaign.”

“Ethan James Green doing his best Steven Meisel impersonation (and succeeding) will always remain a winning formula, IMO. I am instantly transported back to Meisel’s studio stories for American Vogue with this, and I’m OBSESSED. This campaign just radiates a warmth and freshness that I love,” voiced vogue28.
