Gwen Stefani Fronts a Duo of Dynamic Covers for the Relaunch Issue of Nylon Magazine

There’s always cause for huge celebration whenever a new fashion magazine is launched or relaunched. The year 2024 is looking bright for print, and in the past two months alone we’ve welcomed Vogue Adria onto the market and bared witness to the relaunch of ELLE Australia and now Nylon.

Following a 7-year hiatus from newsstands, the American publication that focuses on fashion and pop culture makes a grand return and is set to be released bi-annually. Lauren McCarthy celebrates Nylon‘s relaunch by welcoming Gwen Stefani as cover star, who first appeared on the magazine back in June/July 2000. Fast forward 24 years and Stefani is posing across two dynamic covers by two different photographers: Giel Domen and Kenneth van de Velde. Styled by Jan-Michael Quammie, the American singer-songwriter wears a mashup of pieces from Sportmax, Seks, Andreadamo and Piferi.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Admittedly I was never a one for Nylon but I’m extremely fond of that first closeup cover, which instantly commands you attention. Great relaunch covers,” applauded vogue28.

Also full of praise was Bertrando3: “I love it all, for me it works very well: hair, makeup, her presence and I love the colors too! Really good covers.”

“Classic Gwen. She looks amazing,” admired Alquimista.

Not everyone, however, was so forthcoming. “Well, it’s not the worst Allure cover I’ve seen. Where’s Nylon?” asked forum member KoV.

“Jennifer Lopez is that you? What in the world. Looks like ELLE or something else but not Nylon,” chimed in matheus_s.

“I was expecting something better,” Kimy Jo confessed.
