5 Things to Add to Your Summer Bucket List

Summer has officially arrived and it’s time to make a fun-filled bucket list! There are lots of things we want to accomplish while it’s still beautiful outside, but these five are at the top of our list. Which one will you do?

1. Head on a spontaneous weekend road trip

Sometimes the best vacations are the unplanned ones. When the weather is oppressive and you’re in the mood for a change of scenery, grab your car keys, pack a weekender bag and hit the road. Extra points for those of you who don’t decide where you’re going until you leave!

2. Spend the day at a spa

Between peeling skin and sand in your toes, summer offers a slew of beauty blunders. The solution? Fight back with a full day of relaxing pampering. Clear your schedule, shut off your phone and check in for a day of massages, pedicures and blowouts. You deserve it, girl!

3. Hit an outdoor music festival

Outdoor concerts and musical festivals abound this time of year! The sun is shining, the heat is on and there’s no better way to soak up the rays than while listening to your fave band. Even if no big artists you like are coming to your town this summer, there are plenty of local concerts you can catch.

4. Be a tourist in your own town

How many times do you head into your own major city and have to GPS directions to a new restaurant you want to try? I know I do this all the time! This summer, get to really know your city well and act like a tourist. No, we’re not encouraging you to get all fanny pack-happy, just make it a point to check out some new spots and get more familiar with your city.

5. Do absolutely nothing

Yep, you read that right. Summer was always our fave season as a kid for one main reason: We didn’t have to do anything. There was no school to attend, no extracurriculars. Act like a kid again this summer and take some time to do absolutely nothing. Sit on your porch with a juicy novel, your favorite playlist and a glass of lemonade. It’ll feel amazing!
