How I Met Your Mother – Happy Slapsgiving
HIMYM is another sitcom known for its Thanksgiving episodes. One of the best things about this episode is that it incorporates one of the series longest running gags — the slap bet. So much so that there are actually Slapsgiving and Slapsgiving 2 episodes. It’s not too gimmicky and doesn’t pull any sentimental punches about the holiday — that’s not HIMYM’s style. And it’s nice to have a lighthearted, low-key holiday once in a while. As an extra bonus, we see a little Jason Segal piano action, very reminiscent of his role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
