Doo Ri S/S 2011

What better way to start off the summer than in a gorgeous palette of white? Inspired by the tale of Guinevere, Doo Ri’s romantic silk jerseys and flowing fabrics are complimented in a palette of greys, nudes and whites that offer her signature exquisite draping. She added a few more tailored pieces this season, showing that her talent extends beyond silk jersey. The Doo Ri fan base is growing, and they want more from the designer. She’s responding with a full range of pieces that will take her fan base from the office to a cocktail party.

Starting off with slinky, little white dresses, the show began with a series of draped cocktail attire tailored with a sense of movement.

Wide leg pants were cut low at the hip, and looked elegant paired with knit tops and structured blazers.

The monochromatic looks continue in nude, showing variances in fabrications and textures. The ethereal mood was enhanced by the simple hair and make-up, letting the clothes speak for themselves.

Although there were a few minor production glitches with the music, the show was an overall success, proving that Doo Ri is fast becoming a household name.
