Alexander Berardi S/S 2011

Alexander Berardi’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection boasted chic silk outfits, delicate chiffon dresses, and a curious feminine flared trench coat with the a zipper wrapped around the waist.

The show was heaven, from looks embellished with touches of golden sequins to the final number that dazzled the audience into an ecstatic applause.
Berardi made good use of wooden beads by embroidering tribal-like patterns onto sleeveless tops. In only a few short years, Alexander Berardi has become one of NYC’s finest budding designers.
The designer has taken his collection to the next level for Spring 2011. In a matter of a season, Berardi has gone from pretty and charming to elegant and demure.
If young Hollywood does not eat up each and every look sent down the runway, I will lose all hope of there ever being another true starlet who exudes the spirit of a true siren.
Should I not get to the ankle-length, floral chiffon sundress first for my springtime splurge, boho chic enthusiasts, like celebrity stylist and reality TV star Rachel Zoe, will jump at the chance to grab it in a heartbeat.
I’m hoping Gossip Girl stylist Eric Daman drops by the Berardi boutiques to pick out pieces for Blair and Serena’s wardrobes.
In a postmodern era, where having a fashion line and being the face of a brand is in vogue, it’s refreshing to see that there’s hope for the fashion industry’s next generation of aspiring designers. Hopefully, Bergdorf Goodman’s Linda Fargo will appear in the front row next season to give Berardi the ultimate blessing of landing in the world’s most exquisite department store.
