Upcoming Designer Collaborations Heat Up

Well, the British designer is teasing us once again—McCartney has partnered with Target for another collaboration.

The catch? The 40 piece capsule collection, part of Designers for Target, will only be sold in Australian Target stores.

Expect much of the merchandise, focused on cocktail styles that can be adapted from evening wear to day wear, and priced at $28 and up, to hit eBay in the coming days.

More accessible in terms of ease of purchase (though certainly not price-wise), will be Judith Leiber’s crystal minaudière bridal bags.

The brand, known for embellished bags in the shape of everything from cupcakes to squirrels, will debut a selection of bridal handbags online and in stores in February 2011.

Prices will range from $995 to $7,000.  Included in the range of minaudières will be a three-tier wedding cake, and fabric bags lined in blue silk. Costume jewelry and a fragrance are also planned for an early 2011 launch.

With bridal wear and handbags already under their belt, the Marchesa ladies—along with a number of other designers, including Henry Holland—have partnered with Land Rover to help launch the new Range Rover Evoque car, the smallest and greenest Range Rover ever.

Fittingly, Range Rover will sponsor Marchesa’s Fall 2011 presentation in February.  Does that mean there will be Marchesa-emblazoned Range Rovers in front of their venue? We’ll find out in just over 3 months…
